About the unit

CID investigates high-level crimes in the county, including homicides and house and business robberies, and handles crime scenes that need follow-up after patrol's first report.

Investigators also work proactively to detect and intercept illegal narcotics, weapons, illicit currency and trafficking moving through the county, using traffic stops and behavioral analysis to break up organized criminal networks.
